Exploring Strategies to Boost Economic Growth and Entrepreneurship

A healthy climate for entrepreneurship is essential in building a strong economy, creating jobs, opening markets, and raising the standard of living. The United States Department of Commerce, co-organizers of the Entrepreneurship Forum, invite you to participate in this important event. This unique, all-day forum will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, government officials, and scholars to address key issues and develop practical strategies to expand entrepreneurship and build better, stronger business ties. The forum will have four panels, each consisting of experts discussing: the use of investment capital as a tool for growth; the impact of regulatory and infrastructure issues on business start-ups and growth; the role of innovation and technology in economic development; and the importance of training and education in promoting entrepreneurship. Following the forum, policy recommendations will be formulated with action plans to further develop entrepreneurship. Notable speakers include: Secretary Evans, Andrey Fursenko, Grant Aldonas, Patricia Cloherty, Steve Chase, Ray Smilor, Robert Agee, Nancy Carter, and Bob Sullivan.
