U.S. and International Entrepreneurs Collaborate for Growth
Recognizing an opportunity for expanded international cooperation and the fact that entrepreneurs learn best from each other, the Foundation for Enterprise Development (FED) and the Center for Entrepreneurship, in partnership with the Young Entrepreneurs' Organization (YEO), are hosting the 'The U.S. Russia Entrepreneurs Exchange,' a peer-learning program that links American entrepreneurs from May 29 through June 6, 2003. The program aims to encourage international cooperation with entrepreneurs, raising business and investment attractiveness in the international business community. Steps outlined include exchanging information about goods and services markets and organizing conferences, presentations, and seminars. Special training covering best business practices will also be organized. The partnership focuses on marketing, raising capital, corporate governance, personnel management, and financial transparency. Plans are underway to introduce the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO) into new markets, facilitating a direct dialog between entrepreneurs from 35 countries. A European Conference in September 2003 will further business relationships globally.
