Center for Entrepreneurship Partners with Junior Achievement to Foster Young Entrepreneurs

Developing Market Economy and Entrepreneurship Training Programs for Students

The Center for Entrepreneurship has been partnering with Junior Achievement since 2003 to develop schoolchildren and student training programs in the market economy and entrepreneurship. This partnership has led to the creation of new Business and Tourism programs, a project of the World Travel and Tourism Partnership. Additionally, they have developed new training guides and launched the regional Young Entrepreneur conference. Junior Achievement USA is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to succeed economically, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Junior Achievement’s programs in core content areas such as work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century. The purpose of Junior Achievement is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

Proven Success and Continued Collaboration

Junior Achievement's commitment is evident through the use of independent, third-party evaluators to gauge the impact of its programs. Results have shown a positive impact in several critical areas since 1993, proving the efficiency and importance of their educational efforts. These findings are available for free upon request, and summaries can be found in the JA Programs section of their website. The collaboration between the Center for Entrepreneurship and Junior Achievement focuses on innovative youth education, particularly in areas like financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness. The ongoing partnership aims to continue to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among young people, offering them various resources, mentorship, and practical experiences through state-of-the-art programs. The regional Young Entrepreneur conference is a highlight of their collaboration, providing a platform for students to showcase their business ideas, network with like-minded peers, and gain insights from industry experts.
